I can't tell you how many times I've heard parents discussing how their children love listening to the Rolling Stones, ACDC, or Eminem in the car. While these parents might think that's something healthy for their children to listen to, I whole-heartedly disagree. The Glory Stories volumes, however, have changed the way our kids travel. My four year-old and two year-old sons absolutely love Glory Stories--so much so that the CD is starting to skip from listening to it so often! These wholesome tales of the saints are entertaining to listen to, as they have different voices for the characters and sound effects to help children visualize what is going on. The stories also stick to the truths of the Catholic faith, and they are easy to understand for younger children.
My two year-old, after listening to the St. Joan of Arc story (their favorite), walked up to me and said, "Mom, I can do all things through God who strengthens me," because he listened as St. Joan of Arc spoke this verse during battle. Glory Stories are a great way for children to learn more about the heroes of the Catholic faith and to retain the lessons for use in their daily lives. The CD's also come with coloring books to accompany the stories so the children can see pictures while they listen to the stories.
These wonderful stories of the saints are worth owning, and I only wish that Catholic World Mission would produce more! These make great gifts for children, grandchildren, and Godchildren. There are many CD's out there for children that are labeled as "Catholic," but Glory Stories are by far the best I've ever listened to.
I wrote this review of Glory Stories Volume VI for the Tiber River Blogger Review program, created by Aquinas and More Catholic Goods, your source for Oplatki and Advent Calendars. For more information and to purchase, please visit Aquinas and More Catholic Goods.
Tiber River is the first Catholic book review site, started in 2000 to help you make informed decisions about Catholic book purchases.
And check THIS out: I receive free product samples as compensation for writing reviews for Tiber River. How great is it that? By testing the products and writing reviews, YOU could be helping other fellow Catholics choose quality products for their homes!

My husband was the creator of Glory Stories--and now he's got the gang back together to develop more, plus bring the out-of-stock ones back, at www.HolyHeroes.com. He even has a free sample offer www.FreeGloryStories.com for anyone who hasn't heard them. Thanks for the kind words, and please spread the word that Glory Stories are back!
Kerri--
God bless your husband for such a great idea! You have NO idea how much you have MADE MY DAY with your comment! I'm so excited to hear that he's bringing them back AND doing more! Are they taking suggestions on which saints to cover? :-)
Thank you both for all of your hard work in making good, wholesome, and Catholic entertainment for children!
We love Glory Stories and have the Blessed Imelda as well as St. Juan Diego CD. They are very well done, I bring them with in the car all the time and it's one of the first things that my children request. We'll definitely be purchasing more.
